Toe house socks for the whole family
Knitido Home toe socks design was also special for us. The idea was to create toe socks for home - toe socks for the whole family. They should be warming in a natural way and robust at the same time. An ABS coating should protect against slipping. And a coherent, timeless design was needed.

The right yarn
For the yarn, we chose a cosy, warming blend of New Zealand merino wool and cashmere. The socks are soft, warm very pleasantly and do not scratch the skin. At the same time, this makes them thick, as you would expect from home socks. Since wool is a delicate material, but house socks have to withstand a lot, we have synthetically reinforced the yarn.
Crucial details: toe and calf
The socks reach just below the calf - so you can wear them in the evening as couch socks for lounging around on the sofa, but also as bed socks, hut socks and so on. Special attention is paid to the cuff and shaft. The socks are designed without a cutting elastic band and are very suitable for sensitive calves. The shaft is knitted so that it hugs the calf throughout and does not slip. The toes are specially curved in a 3D knitting process and are of different sizes and lengths. The fabric is slightly bulging at the toes and opens up the spaces between the toes. This allows air to enter and ensures a more balanced temperature and you sweat less. Sweat is bound by the merino yarn without the sock feeling damp or cooling down. The natural keratin in merino wool has a self-cleaning effect and prevents odours from developing.
Also suitable for outdoors?
Our house socks are designed for indoor use. There is nothing to stop them being used in shoes, but please note that the socks are a little bulky in the toe area. We therefore recommend wide shoes. In tight shoes, there can easily be friction points where the material rubs through. As wool socks for outdoors we recommend Wool socksthat are less bulky.
The right care
Please note that wool is a delicate material by nature. Our house socks are reinforced with synthetic yarns, but please still ensure that they are handled carefully and cared for properly.
The toe socks are washable up to 30°C, we recommend wool wash cycle and wool detergent. These toe socks are made larger and then shrunk by hot air. As a rule, they do not shrink further during washing. Laundry bags protect them from voracious washing machines. Do not iron or tumble dry. Wash right side up, if necessary remove the toes from the inside of the socks before washing. Attention: Do not cut the threads inside the socks. Please note: Wool yarns tend to pill due to their fibre structure, especially where there is friction.
