The Loops principle: copied from the foot
A taping loop is an elastic band that is applied to the foot and that takes over the task of slackened ligaments in the foot that cause the toes to become misaligned. Properly applied, the affected toe can be immediately pulled into its correct position. Loops can be worn barefoot, over toe socks or tabi socks.
Application for Bunion
Bunion or bunion is a malposition of the big toe, often learned from the foot due to incorrect footwear. The big toe increasingly bends in the direction of the little toes. The ligaments that are supposed to align the big toe forward are slackened to the point that they can no longer keep it straight. The consequences are serious and can be felt throughout the body: pain, tension, wear and tear on joints, poor posture and even teeth. Healthy toes are the basis, not only of mobility, but also of quality of life.
The taping loop can take over the function of the slackened ligaments and gently pull the big toe back into its natural position.
When running, the big toe and the metatarsophalangeal joint can be loaded correctly again, and malpositions and damage caused by compensatory postures of the body can be avoided.
Application for Bunion
- To attach the strap, bring the small loop around the big toe and the large loop to the heel.
- For the train to work properly, make sure that the ribbons of the small loop cross on the outside, that is, on the ball.
Application for hammer toe
Hammertoe is a condition in which one or more toes are curved like claws, usually affecting the second and third toes. In this case, the ligaments on the underside of the foot have slackened to such an extent that you can no longer pull the toes down. The intact ligaments on the upper side pull the toes upwards - whereupon they curl in like claws.
The taping loop takes over the function of the ligaments on the underside of the foot and pulls the toes back down.

Notes on the application
Habituation and wearing time
The joints have to get used to the new position slowly. We therefore recommend that you wear the loops for about one hour a day at first and gradually increase the duration over 1-2 weeks. After that, you can wear the loops for 8 or more hours a day .
Care instructions
The loops are machine washable at 30°C. We recommend the use of a laundry bag to protect the material.
